Canberra Clinical School Maintains High Standard FacilitiesThe increasing number of students at the Canberra Clinical School has resulted in the expansion of the School’s facilities at The Canberra Hospital. Wayne took a break from preparing to defend his West Belconnen home from January’s bushfire threat to officially open the expanded facilities. The increasing number of students attending the Canberra Clinical School will help boost medical care in the ACT. The facilities being expanded include additional tutorial rooms and extra area for faculty members. State-of-the-art audio and visual equipment will also be installed in the new auditorium. The $1.6 million work was financed by the ACT Government Capital Works program. “I was proud to be the Health Minister who put the school in place appointing Professor Gatenby as the first Associate Professor in April 1994”, Mr Berry said, “The whole community benefits from the success of the school Since it took its first students in 1995 the number of students at the Canberra Clinical School has increased with 45 first year students, 45 Year 2, 31 Year 3 and 26 final year students studying at the School. |
